I have mixed feelings about Grissom. On one hand, the preschool program seems like it gets a lot of focus, but for the older kids, it feels like the school is constantly playing catch-up. The building is older and you can really tell—there's always mention of 'capital improvements' and repairs in the works, but meanwhile, the ventilation feels stuffy and the overall cleanliness is just okay. My main gripe is the attendance culture; it feels like half the class is out sick or just missing every other week, and I haven't seen a real plan from the school to address the health side of why kids are staying home so much. It's frustrating when you're trying to keep your own kid healthy but the environment feels a bit neglected.
