  • To be honest, I’m pretty frustrated with the health situation at East Side. Because it’s located in a basement space, the ventilation feels really off—it’s always kind of stuffy and has that damp, basement smell that makes me worry about mold or poor air quality for the little ones. My son has been home sick more than he's actually there, and it doesn't feel like they're doing deep cleans often enough to stop the cycle of germs. Communication about outbreaks is basically non-existent, so you only find out something is going around after your kid wakes up with a fever. It's a convenient location for the neighborhood, but the environment just doesn't feel as clean or healthy as it should be for a daycare.

  • My little one has been at East Side for a few months now and I’m pretty happy with the health side of things. It’s located in a basement/first floor setup, which I was worried might feel stuffy, but it’s actually really well-kept and smells clean, not like a typical diaper-heavy daycare. They are super strict about the '24-hour fever free' rule, which can be a headache when you have to call out of work, but honestly, it keeps the classroom bugs from spreading too fast. Communicating about hand-foot-mouth or flu outbreaks is usually pretty quick via their handouts or calls. It’s a solid, safe neighborhood spot.
