My kid has been at University Village Montessori for a bit now and it's honestly a mixed bag when it comes to the health side of things. I love the hands-on learning, but let’s be real, ‘hands-on’ also means germs are everywhere. The cleanliness in the classrooms is okay, but I’ve definitely seen a few days where the toys looked like they needed a good scrub. They are pretty strict about the 24-hour fever rule, which I appreciate, but communication when something like HFM or a stomach bug is going around can be a little slow. It’s a smaller school so you’d think they’d be more on top of the updates, but sometimes you only find out from other parents in the lobby. It’s not terrible, but it definitely feels like a typical urban school struggle keeping up with the sniffles.
