Park Manor Elementary School

Honestly, I’m pretty worried about the health environment at Park Manor lately. The chronic absenteeism is a major red flag—it feels like kids are constantly out sick and there isn't much urgency from the school to address the root causes of why so many students are missing days. The building itself is older and, even though there's funding listed for maintenance, you can tell the ventilation isn't great. My kid's classroom often feels stuffy and cramped, which is a nightmare during flu season. With the high student-teacher ratios here, it's not like the teachers have the time to wipe down every desk or keep an eye on every kid who has a runny nose. It's frustrating because the staff is nice, but the overall wellness culture just feels like it's lagging way behind. I'd really think twice if your child has asthma or sensitive health needs.
