Pablo Casals Elementary School

Honestly, I’m pretty worried about the environment at Pablo Casals lately. The school has been struggling with chronic absenteeism for a while now, and it’s hitting over 30%, which just tells you there’s a major lack of consistency in keeping these kids healthy and in class. The building feels like it’s constantly undergoing some kind of emergency maintenance or 'funds transfer' for repairs—makes you wonder about the air quality and general upkeep. Communication from the office regarding kids getting sick is hit or miss, and the student-to-counselor ratio is way too high to get any real wellness support. It’s frustrating because the teachers try, but the health culture here feels like an afterthought.
