My little one has been at Newport for about a year now and honestly, the health side of things is a huge relief compared to other city daycares we looked at. The place is tucked away on a quiet street in Lakeview and it's always super clean when I do drop-off. They actually seem to stick to their sick policies too—I've definitely seen them send kids home for runny noses that look suspicious, which can be a pain for working parents but it keeps the 'room-wide' plagues to a minimum. Most of the staff has been there for a bit and they seem really on top of handwashing and sanitizing the toys. It feels like a safe, healthy little neighborhood spot where they actually care if the kids are feeling 100%.
