Family Room

Honestly, I’m pretty underwhelmed with how things are handled at Family Room. It feels like every time I turn around, there’s another bug going through the classroom, and I don't feel like the communication about exposures is very proactive. The space itself feels a bit cramped for the number of kids they have in there, which definitely doesn't help when cold and flu season hits. While the Lakeview location is super convenient, the 'nonchalant' vibe from some of the staff when you bring up concerns about cleanliness or the sick-child policy is frustrating. It’s a lot of money to pay for a place that feels like it’s just doing the bare minimum to keep things sanitized.

Honestly, the Family Room has been such a lifesaver for us. The Lakeview location is super convenient, and the vibe inside always feels really fresh and tidy which is a big deal for a city daycare. They’re pretty strict about the 24-hour fever-free rule, which can be a giant pain when you have to call out of work, but honestly, it probably keeps the 'room-wide' colds down to a minimum. My only minor gripe is sometimes the communication about a kid having a runny nose is a little inconsistent—sometimes I get a nudge right away, other times I don't hear until pickup. Overall though, it's a solid, clean spot and my little one isn't coming home sick nearly as often as I expected.
