To anyone thinking of sending their kids here, just a heads up that this school was actually closed down by the district years ago. Before it shut its doors, the environment was honestly a mess. It was on probation because the performance was so low, and the building itself was in rough shape—we're talking major facility issues that CPS just wasn't fixing. The wellness culture was non-existent because the school was struggling just to stay afloat. It's frustrating that the neighborhood lost a middle school, but honestly, the health and safety standards were way below what any parent should accept for their child.
