To be honest, I’ve been pretty let down with the health standards here lately. It feels like every other week my kid is coming home with some kind of bug, and I really don't think they're doing deep cleans of the toys or the common areas like they should. The communication when a kid gets sick in class is super spotty—sometimes we get a heads-up, but half the time I only find out after my little one is already running a fever. Plus, it always feels way too crowded in the rooms which just makes everything spread faster. It’s a convenient location in Washington Park, but they really need to step up the sanitizing and be stricter about the sick-policy if they want parents to feel comfortable.

I've had my little one at Brite New Mind for a few months now and honestly, I’m pretty happy with how they handle things. The owner is really involved and you can tell she cares about keeping the place decent for the kids. They’re super strict about their sick policy—if a kid has a runny nose or a fever, they are calling you to pick them up ASAP, which can be a pain if you're at work, but it definitely helps keep the flu and stuff from spreading to everyone else. The facility always smells clean when I drop off, and they've been good about letting us know if something like HFM is going around the neighborhood. It’s a solid, reliable spot in Washington Park.
