Mccormick YMCA Preschool

My little one has been at the McCormick YMCA preschool for a bit now and honestly, I'm pretty relieved with how they handle things. Being at a Y is a huge plus because the facility is actually kept up with—it doesn't have that 'grimy' feel some older Chicago daycares get. They're super big on movement since they have access to the gym and the indoor pool area, which is great for burning off that toddler energy even when it's freezing outside. The staff is really friendly and they actually seem to care about the kids' emotional well-being, not just sticking them in front of a screen. My only gripe is that communication can be a little slow when there's a bug going around the classroom, but overall it's a clean, active environment that feels way healthier than some of the other spots we looked at in Logan Square.
