Casa Central Day Care Center

The staff here are really sweet and you can tell they care, but the communication regarding when bugs are going around could be a lot better. The building is older, and while they try to keep it clean, the ventilation feels a bit stuffy in the winter months. It’s an okay spot if you need local care in Logan Square, but honestly, be prepared for your kid to bring home every single sniffle because the sick-day policy feels a little loosely enforced compared to other places we've been.

My little one has been at Casa Central for a few months now and I’m pretty happy with how they handle the germ situation. They are really strict about the 24-hour fever-free rule, which can be a pain for working parents but honestly, it keeps the classroom much healthier. The staff in Logan Square seem to be constantly cleaning the toys and common areas too. My only minor gripe is that communication about a 'bug' going around can be a little slow sometimes—I'd love an email the second a kid tests positive for something—but overall, the teachers really care about the kids' wellness and they encourage good handwashing habits from day one.
