Busy Bees Learning Academy

Honestly, I’ve been pretty frustrated with the health situation at Busy Bees lately. It feels like my kid is home sick every other week with something new, and I’m really starting to question their cleaning protocols. The place is always chaotic, and with the high student-teacher ratios, I don't think the staff can actually keep up with wiping down toys or making sure the kids are washing their hands properly. It's a struggle because they survived the pandemic, but the current wellness culture feels like they're just getting by. I've also noticed they are pretty lax about letting kids stay when they clearly have runny noses or coughs, which just cycles through the whole classroom. Not what I expected for the price we pay in Logan Square.

My toddler has been at Busy Bees in Logan Square for about a year now. I honestly love how clean the classrooms look when I drop her off—they definitely stay on top of the sanitizing. They use an app to send out health alerts, so if hand, foot, and mouth or a stomach bug is going around, you know pretty much immediately, which is a lifesaver for planning. My only small gripe is that their sick policy is super strict—if your kid even has a slightly runny nose, they might call you to pick them up. It's a bit of a pain for working parents, but I guess it's why the whole school doesn't get sick at once. Overall, it's a solid, healthy environment for the little ones.
