Honestly, I’m pretty frustrated with the health situation at Brentano lately. My kid is constantly coming home with whatever bug is going around, and it feels like the school's response is just 'well, kids get sick.' The chronic absenteeism rate is super high, sitting around 25-30%, which really tells you something is off with the attendance culture and how illnesses are being managed in the classrooms. When so many kids are out at once, it's hard for anyone to actually learn. The school talks a lot about their math and science focus, but they need to put some of that energy into keeping the building clean and enforcing stricter sick-child policies. It feels like we’re in a constant loop of colds and stomach bugs because there's no real grit in how they handle wellness.
