Honestly, I’m pretty frustrated with the situation at Lewis lately. It feels like there is always something going on with the building that affects the kids' health. We’ve had issues with clogged sewers in the older part of the building and now there are problems getting hot water to the bathrooms on the first floor. It’s hard to tell my kid to keep his hands clean when the plumbing is constantly being shut down for repairs. The building just feels old and not very well-maintained, which makes me worry about what else is going on in the air or the pipes that we don't know about yet. Communication from the school about these maintenance/health issues is pretty spotty too—I usually find out from other parents before I hear it from the office. Not the cleanest or most 'wellness-focused' environment for an elementary school.
