I honestly have mixed feelings about Kings & Queens. It’s a convenient spot in Humboldt Park, but the health policies feel a bit lax lately. My little one seems to bring home a new bug every other week, and I don't feel like the communication about what's 'going around' the classroom is very clear. It’s a tight space and with the student-to-teacher ratios where they are, I'm not sure the staff can really keep up with deep cleaning everything during the day. I've also noticed that the sick-child policy isn't strictly enforced—kids are definitely dropped off with runny noses and coughs, which makes it impossible for the rest of the kids to stay healthy. It’s okay if you’re in a pinch, but I’m constantly worried about the next round of germs.
