Judah North

To be honest, I’ve been pretty frustrated with the health situation at Judah North lately. It feels like my little one is coming home with a new bug every other week, and I rarely get a heads-up from the staff that something is going around the classroom until it's too late. The facility is on the first floor of a pretty old building in West Humboldt Park, and you can really tell—the ventilation feels stuffy and I’ve definitely noticed some dust and grime in the corners that makes me wonder about their deep-cleaning routine. It’s tough because child care is so hard to find around here, but the communication on sick policies is super inconsistent and I'm tired of burning through my sick days because the environment just doesn't feel that hygienic.

Honestly, I’m pretty frustrated with how things are going at Judah North. The facility just doesn't feel as clean as it should be for a daycare, and I’ve noticed the 'appropriate appearance and cleanliness' they mention online isn't always the reality on the ground. It feels like they are constantly understaffed or cycling through teachers, which makes it feel chaotic when you're trying to get info on why half the class is out sick again. Communication about illnesses is super hit or miss, and I honestly worry about the general hygiene standards in the common areas and bathrooms on the first floor. Dealing with the neighborhood setting is one thing, but the internal upkeep shouldn't be this lackluster. It’s hard to feel good about dropping your kid off when you’re worried they’re just going to pick something up from a surface that wasn’t wiped down properly.
