To be honest, my experience here has been pretty middle-of-the-road. On one hand, you can tell the staff really cares about the kids and they have a strong community vibe, but the cleanliness has been a bit hit or miss lately. I've noticed a few times when I've picked up my little one that the common areas looked pretty cluttered and dusty, which makes me worry about the air quality and general germs going around. Communication about illnesses in the classroom is also kind of sporadic—sometimes you get a heads-up, and other times you only find out something is going around because you see three other kids with the same runny nose. It’s not terrible, but definitely feels like they’re stretched thin at times and could step up the sanitizing routine and health transparency for parents.

I've had my little one at It Takes a Village for a few months now and honestly, I'm pretty happy with how they handle the germ factor. The place always smells clean when I walk in for drop-off, and you can tell they're actually wiping down the toys. They are super strict about the fever policy though—if your kid is even slightly warm, they’re calling you to come get them, which is a pain for work but I get that it keeps the whole class from getting sick. My only gripe is their communication can be a little slow when there's a bug going around the room, but overall, it's a solid, healthy spot for the kids.
