  • My kid has been at the River City location for a bit now and honestly, I'm pretty relieved with the health environment. Dealing with daycare germs in Chicago is usually a nightmare, but they seem to stay on top of things here. The communication is actually decent—if a bug is going around, we usually hear about it right away so we aren't blindsided. The facility itself always looks clean when I'm dropping off, and I haven't seen those 'perma-runny noses' you get at some of the understaffed places downtown. It feels like they have a good handle on keeping the sick kids home so the rest of the class doesn't get wiped out every week. Definitely feels like a safe, healthy spot for the little ones in South Loop.

  • My little one has been at River City for about six months and honestly the health standards are pretty solid for a city daycare. It’s always super clean when I drop off and they’re really strict about the '24-hour fever free' rule, which is annoying when you have to work, but it keeps the nasty bugs from spreading through the whole class. They send home alerts on the app whenever something like hand-foot-and-mouth is going around, so at least we aren't blindsided. Wish they had a bit more outdoor play time for the fresh air, but overall they handle the wellness side of things way better than our last place.
