Inspired Minds Daycare Ltd.,

To be honest, the health situation at Inspired Minds has been a bit of a struggle for us lately. It’s a smaller daycare in Woodlawn, but it often feels like they are understaffed, which makes me worry about how much deep cleaning is actually happening. My little one has come home with a runny nose or a stomach bug almost every other week, and I don't feel like the communication about what's going around the classroom is very clear. It’s hard enough being a working parent without constant 'mystery' illnesses popping up. Also, the student-to-teacher ratio seems high some days, and I’ve noticed the staff looks pretty burnt out, which makes me think wellness definitely isn’t the top priority right now. I really want to love it because it's convenient, but the lack of a strict sick policy and the general cleanliness needs some serious work.

Honestly, I’ve been pretty happy with how Inspired Minds handles things. The facility always smells clean when I drop off my daughter, and they’re really strict about the 'no-fever' policy, which is annoying when you're a working parent but totally worth it so the whole class doesn't get sick at once. They use an app for updates, so if a kid in her room gets hand-foot-and-mouth or a bad cold, I usually know by lunch. It’s a solid local spot in Woodlawn and I feel like they actually care about keeping the germs down.
