Ilearn Center of West Town, LLC

Honestly, I’m pretty frustrated with the health situation at ILearn. While the neighborhood is great, the center feels way too cramped for the number of kids they have in there. It feels like every time my son goes, he comes home with a new bug because the kids are all on top of each other. Communication about illnesses circulating in the classroom is hit or miss—I've walked in to drop him off only to find out half the class is home sick. It's tough because childcare is hard to find in West Town, but I’m really tired of the constant 'mystery' sniffles and the lack of a strict sick-child policy. It doesn't feel like deep cleaning is a huge priority here.

Honestly, I've been pretty impressed with how Ilearn Center handles the whole germ situation. My daughter started last year, and I was bracing for her to be sick every other week like she was at her old place, but they seem really on top of cleaning the toys and the common areas. They are super strict about the '24-hour fever-free' rule which can be a pain when you're trying to get to work, but it keeps the nasty bugs from spreading through the whole class. Communication is solid too; if a kid in her room gets hand-foot-and-mouth or something, we get an email right away. My only minor gripe is that the outdoor play area is a bit small, so I wish they got a little more fresh air time on the nicer days, but overall it's a very clean and safe environment for the kids.
