Casa Central Community Service

Honestly, Casa Central is a bit of a mixed bag. The location in Humboldt Park is super convenient, and the staff is really warm with the kids, which I love. But my biggest gripe is the communication when a bug is going around the classroom. It feels like I only find out someone was sick after my kid is already coming down with it. The building is older, so while they try to keep it clean, you definitely get that 'old school' vibe where the ventilation could be better. It’s an okay spot if you need local care, but you have to be really proactive about asking them what’s going around.

Honestly, Casa Central has been such a solid spot for my little one. The facility on California Ave is always super clean when I drop off, and you can tell the staff really tries to keep the germs at bay, which is a total must for a daycare in Humboldt Park. They are pretty strict about the '24-hour fever-free' rule, which can be a pain when you have to call out of work, but I appreciate that they actually enforce it to keep the other kids from getting sick. My only minor gripe is sometimes the communication about a cold going around the classroom could be a little faster, but overall, it's a really healthy and caring environment for the kids.
