  • Honestly, I’m pretty frustrated with how things are going at Grandma Marie’s. The staff is nice enough, but the sickness policy feels really loose and it seems like there’s always a bug going around that shouldn't be. Communication about when a kid in the class gets sick is hit or miss, so I’m often caught off guard. Plus, the building itself just doesn't feel as clean as it should for a daycare—the ventilation feels stuffy and I've noticed dust and grime in the corners of the play area more than once. It’s tough because it’s a convenient location, but we’ve had way too many sick days since starting here.

  • Grandma Marie's has been a solid spot for my toddler so far. The place is always kept really tidy, and you can tell they actually scrub the toys down which is a huge relief during flu season. They are pretty strict about the 24-hour fever-free rule, which can be a pain when you have to call off work, but honestly, it keeps the whole class from getting wrecked by every little bug that goes around. Communication is decent too—they usually give us a heads-up pretty fast if something like hand-foot-and-mouth is popping up in the building. It's got that cozy, community feel where you know the staff actually cares if your kid is feeling 100%.
