To be honest, I’m pretty uneasy with how they handle things here. The space at Cherish feels really cramped, and whenever one kid gets a sniffle, it spreads to everyone else in 48 hours. Communication about illnesses is super hit or miss—I've walked in to pick up my son only to find out multiple kids were sent home with fevers earlier that day and nobody bothered to call or message the group. The West Englewood area is tough and it feels like they’re understaffed for the number of kids they take in, which means cleaning definitely takes a backseat. It’s affordable for after-care, but we’ve dealt with more recurring colds and stomach bugs here than at his actual school. Just feels like a 'watch them till you get here' vibe rather than a healthy environment.

I've had my daughter at Cherish for a few months now for after-care and honestly, the place is kept really clean. You can tell they actually scrub down the toys and tables every night. I really appreciate that they're super quick to call if a kid starts looking even a little feverish because it keeps the bugs from spreading to everyone else. The staff is sweet and they always make sure the kids wash their hands right when they get in from school. It’s not a fancy gym-and-organic-smoothie type of place, but it feels like a healthy, safe neighborhood spot where the kids are looked after properly.
