  • Gads Hill is pretty typical for a big city daycare honestly. My kid goes to the Cullerton location and while the teachers are super sweet and they have a dedicated custodian for the cleaning, it still feels like a revolving door for germs. Communication about when a cold is going around the classroom could definitely be better; sometimes I only find out because I see five other kids with runny noses at pickup. It’s localized on the second and fourth floors of the building, and while they try to keep it tidy, the common areas can feel a bit cramped and lived-in. They do have a health and safety plan they talk about, which is good, but in practice, it’s a bit 50/50. It's not a luxury wellness center, just a standard community spot that gets the job done but won't blow you away with their hygiene standards.

  • My little one has been at Gads Hill for a few months now and I’ve been pretty happy with how they handle things. Being on the 2nd and 4th floors of the building, I was worried about it feeling cramped, but it’s actually kept really clean and organized. They are super strict about the sick-child policy—if a kid has a fever, they're going home—which can be a pain if you're at work, but honestly, it’s kept the flu and RSV from spreading like wildfire through the classroom. They do a great job of keeping us updated through the app whenever something is going around, so I never feel out of the loop. It feels like a safe, healthy spot for the kids to grow.
