  • My kid has been at Stock for a little bit now since it's an early childhood center. Honestly, it's a bit of a mixed bag. They really push the inclusive environment and I love that my child is around different types of learners early on, but the communication about health stuff is just okay. I feel like there's always some bug going around the classrooms—which I know is normal for 3 and 4-year-olds—but I wish the school was a bit more proactive about deep cleaning or telling us exactly what's spreading before my whole house catches it. The staff is sweet, but it definitely feels like a typical busy CPS school where they are stretched a little thin. It's not a bad spot, but you definitely have to stay on top of your own kid's hygiene and health because I'm not sure the school has the resources to be super meticulous about it.

  • My little one is in their early childhood program and honestly, the staff at Stock is so on top of things. Since it's all younger kids, you'd expect a total germ fest, but the classrooms actually stay pretty clean and they are really strict about the '24-hour fever free' rule before kids can come back. I really appreciate that they send home quick updates if something like hand-foot-and-mouth is going around the classroom so we can keep an eye out. The only bummer is that the nurse isn't there every single day since she splits time with other CPS schools, but the teachers are great at handling the minor scrapes and typical preschooler sniffles. It feels like a very safe, healthy spot for the tiny ones!
