Fantasy Island Schools for Kids, LLC

Fantasy Island has been okay for my toddler, but it's pretty much what you'd expect from a busy Chicago daycare. The facility on Milwaukee Ave stays pretty clean, but I feel like the communication when a bug is going around the classroom is a bit hit or miss. There have been a few times my kid came home with a runny nose and I didn't get a heads-up that half the class was out sick. The multilingual aspect is definitely the biggest draw, but I wish they were a bit more proactive about wellness checks at the door in the mornings. It’s a decent neighborhood spot, just keep your hand sanitizer ready.

My toddler has been at Fantasy Island for a few months now and I’m pretty happy with how they handle the usual daycare germs. The staff is super diligent about handwashing and they actually follow their sick policy—it can be annoying as a parent to get that 'come pick them up' call for a runny nose, but it definitely keeps the whole class from catching every little bug. The facility on Milwaukee Ave always smells clean and not just like 'bleach' clean, you know? Only reason I’m not giving 5 stars is because the daily app updates on what he ate could be a bit more detailed, but overall, it’s a solid, healthy spot for the kids.
