Honestly, I’m pretty frustrated with the health situation at Dumas. The chronic absenteeism rate is over 40%, which is honestly wild, and it feels like there's a constant cycle of kids being out sick or coming in when they clearly shouldn't be. With the student-to-counselor ratio being way too high, there’s practically zero support for the kids' mental health or wellness. It feels like the school is just reactive instead of proactive. The hallways and bathrooms don't always feel like they're getting the deep clean they need, especially during flu season. It’s hard to feel good about the environment when it feels so stretched thin.

Telling it like it is for anyone looking at Dumas—the health situation is pretty rough. My kid is in a class that feels way too crowded, and with a student-teacher ratio over 25:1, it’s no wonder stuff spreads like wildfire.
