  • I really wanted to love Diana’s because the location in Edgewater is so convenient, but honestly, the health standards are stressing me out. Every time I drop my little one off, the rooms feel cramped and kind of stuffy—it doesn't seem like there's any air circulation at all. Since starting, we’ve been caught in a never-ending cycle of colds and stomach bugs, and I rarely see the staff actually wiping down the high-touch surfaces or toys when I'm there. Communication about which illnesses are going around the classroom is basically non-existent, so you're always blindsided by a fever at 2 AM. For the price and the 'licensed' title, I expected a much tighter ship when it comes to hygiene and keeping the kids healthy.

  • My toddler has been at Diana’s on Clark St for a few months now and I’ve been pretty happy with the health side of things. The center always smells clean when I drop off, but not like overpowering bleach, which I appreciate. Diana is really strict about the '24-hour fever free' rule before kids can come back, which can be a pain for my work schedule, but it definitely keeps the seasonal bugs from wiping out the whole classroom. They’re also great about reminding us to swap out seasonal gear so the kids aren't underdressed for outdoor play in this Chicago wind. Only downside is communicable disease notices sometimes come a day later than I'd like, but overall it’s a very solid, healthy spot for the little ones.
