  • I really want to love Webster, but the health environment is worrying. My son's class is always half-empty because the chronic absenteeism is over 35%, and it honestly feels like once one kid gets sick, the whole school gets it because the cleaning isn't consistent. I barely ever see a nurse or any coordination on health protocols when there's an outbreak. With the student-to-counselor ratio being so high, there's just not enough support for the kids' mental health or emotional needs either. It feels like the school is just struggling to keep the doors open rather than focusing on a healthy, clean space for the kids.

  • Webster is okay, but honestly, it’s a typical CPS building. My daughter loves her teachers, and they are usually pretty good about sending home a reminder when something like a stomach bug or pink eye is going around the classroom. The nurse is helpful, but she isn't there every single day, which can be stressful if your kid has an allergy or needs regular meds. My main gripe is the cleanliness of the common areas; some of the bathrooms feel pretty dated and could use more frequent scrub-downs during cold and flu season. It's not a bad spot, they just seem a bit under-resourced like a lot of neighborhood schools.
