Christopher House

To be honest, I’m pretty frustrated with the situation at Christopher House. The staff-to-child ratio feels way off, and honestly, it’s impacting how clean the place is kept. My toddler seems to catch every single bug going around the Logan Square area, and I don't feel like the communication regarding illness outbreaks is proactive enough. It’s hard to feel like my kid is getting the individualized attention they need when the teachers are clearly stretched so thin. With the recent union push and labor tensions mentioned in the news, it's clear the staff is overwhelmed, and unfortunately, that trickles down to the kids' wellness and the general upkeep of the facility. I'm looking into other options for next year.

Honestly, Christopher House has been great for my little one's health. The Logan Square location is super clean, and you can tell the staff actually stays on top of sanitizing the toys and common areas. They are pretty strict about the '24-hour fever-free' rule which can be a headache when you're a working parent, but it definitely keeps the non-stop classroom colds to a minimum. My only minor gripe is sometimes the communication about a bug going around feels a little delayed, but overall, it feels like a really safe and healthy spot for daycare.
