Shining Star Child Development Institute of the Arts

Honestly, finding a place in Greater Grand Crossing that actually stays clean is a struggle, but Shining Star does a really good job with it. The center always smells fresh when I drop my daughter off, and you can tell the staff actually cares about keeping the germs at bay. They have a good balance in their daily routine with quiet time and active play, which helps keep the kids from getting totally burnt out and cranky. My only real gripe is that some of the teachers seem a bit stressed lately, probably because it's a busy center, but they've always been super communicative if a bug is going around the classroom. Overall, it feels like a safe, healthy spot for the little ones.
