  • My experience at Allison’s has been pretty middle-of-the-road when it comes to the health side of things. The place looks decent most days and they seem to follow a cleaning schedule, but with it being an infant and toddler center, it feels like there’s always something going around the classroom. Communication about when a kid is sent home with a fever is okay, but I wish they were a bit more proactive with sanitizing the shared toys during cold and flu season. It’s a standard neighborhood daycare—nothing super fancy in terms of wellness programs, but they do the basics to keep the rooms tidy enough for the little ones.

  • My little one has been at Allison's for about six months now and honestly, the cleanliness is what sold me. Since it's all infants and toddlers, you'd expect it to be a germ factory, but they are super diligent about wiping down toys and keeping the diaper stations spotless. Whenever a bug starts going around the class, the directors are really quick to send out an alert so we can keep an eye out for symptoms at home. Their sick policy is pretty firm—no fever for 24 hours—which can be a hassle for working parents, but it definitely keeps the whole group healthier in the long run. Only downside is the parking for drop-off can get a bit hectic on 71st, but the care they give my baby makes it worth the stress.
