  • I honestly have mixed feelings about Ridgeland. While the staff is nice enough, the facility itself feels a bit neglected and the cleanliness is definitely hit or miss. It feels like every other week my little one is coming home with some kind of bug, and I don't feel like they're being proactive enough about sanitizing the toys or common areas. The communication regarding illnesses going around the classroom is pretty spotty too—I usually find out from another parent in the parking lot rather than an official notice. Plus, the ratios seem really high lately, so I worry the teachers are too overwhelmed to even notice when a kid is starting to look under the weather. It's affordable for the South Shore area, but you definitely get what you pay for when it comes to the health and wellness side of things.

  • Toured Ridgeland recently because it’s right in the South Shore neighborhood, but honestly, I wasn't impressed with the cleanliness or the ratios. The building is older and down in a lower level, which makes the air feel really stuffy and stagnant—not what you want for kids with asthma or during flu season. Communication about when kids are getting sick seems pretty spotty from what I've heard from other moms in the area, and with it being a smaller center, it feels like once one kid gets a stomach bug, the whole place is out. I just didn't get that 'clean and healthy' vibe you want for your toddler; it feels a bit cramped and needs a serious deep clean and better ventilation.
