Rainbow Day Care Center

To be honest, I’m pretty frustrated with the health situation at Rainbow Day Care. It feels like my kid is home sick every other week because something is always circulating through the rooms. The communication from the office about outbreaks is really hit or miss—sometimes we get a heads-up, but usually, I find out from other parents in the parking lot. It’s an older building on Irving Park Rd and it definitely shows; the ventilation doesn't seem great and some of the play areas feel pretty cramped and grimy. They really need to tighten up their sick-child policy because it feels like there’s always a kid with a thick runny nose being dropped off right next to mine.

To be honest, the Irving Park location has been a real struggle lately. I've noticed the communication regarding illnesses is super hit or miss; sometimes my kid comes home with a bug and I haven't heard a peep from the staff about classmates being sick. It feels like they are understaffed and just trying to survive the day rather than focusing on a real wellness culture. The facility itself is an older urban building, and you can definitely tell—ventilation isn't great and things don't always look deep-cleaned. I’m really considering moving my little one because I’m tired of the constant cycle of colds and the lack of transparency from the front office.
