Avondale Loving Care

Honestly, I’ve been really happy with how clean Avondale Loving Care is. Especially being in a busy part of the city on Elston, I was worried about it feeling cramped or stuffy, but it’s actually really well-maintained. They seem to take the health stuff seriously—whenever a bug is going around, we get a heads-up right away which I appreciate so I can watch for symptoms. The Montessori approach they use means the kids are moving around and stay active rather than just sitting in one spot all day, which is a huge plus for my little one's general wellness. It’s a smaller, local feel so you can tell the staff actually knows the kids and can spot when someone is acting off or might be coming down with something. Overall, it’s a solid, healthy spot for the kids.

My toddler has been at Avondale Loving Care for a few months now and I’m honestly pretty happy with the health side of things. The rooms always smell clean, not like a diaper bin, which is a huge plus for me. They are really strict about the 24-hour fever-free rule, which can be a pain when you have to call out of work, but honestly, it keeps the 'daycare plague' from spreading too fast through the class. I get a text or a call pretty quickly if my little one seems off or starts running a temperature, so communication is solid. The only downside is that the outdoor play area is a bit small being right on Elston, but they make it work and keep the kids active.
