  • Honestly, it’s a bit of a mixed bag at Paulo Freire. On one hand, the teachers are really sweet and you can tell they care about the kids' hygiene and basic safety, but the communication when something is going around the classroom isn't always the fastest. It’s a busy center in Back of the Yards, and sometimes it feels like they are understaffed, which makes me worry about how deep the cleaning actually gets at the end of the day. They have a decent policy on keeping sick kids home, but I've definitely seen some runny noses being dropped off in the mornings. It’s an okay spot if you need local childcare, but you really have to stay on top of them regarding health updates.
