Honestly, the health environment at Bright is pretty frustrating. We just had another notice about maintenance issues, and I saw on the board agenda that they've been dealing with clogged drinking fountain drains for way too long—that’s just gross and unsanitary for the kids. The neighborhood safety is also a major stressor; there was a really scary attack just a couple of blocks away recently that has everyone on edge. Between the maintenance delays and the general safety concerns, it's hard to feel like the school is a 'wellness' zone for our kids. CPS really needs to step up on the basic cleanliness and facility repairs here because the current state isn't cutting it.
