  • To be honest, I'm pretty frustrated with the hygiene at Brenda's. It feels like every other week my kid is coming home with another bug, and the communication about what's going around the classroom is basically nonexistent. The space itself feels really cramped and honestly a bit dusty/grimey, which doesn't help with the kids' allergies. I know it's a neighborhood spot and more affordable, but it definitely feels like they are understaffed for the number of kids they have. When one person gets sick, it just sweeps through the whole place immediately. I've had to miss way too much work lately because their sick-child policy feels super inconsistent.

  • My youngest is at Brenda’s now and honestly, for a neighborhood daycare, it’s kept pretty clean. I really like that they actually enforce the fever-free rule because it keeps that endless cycle of preschool colds under control—mostly! Brenda and the staff are super quick to call if someone looks sluggish or off, which I appreciate. Only thing is I wish they did a bit more organized 'wellness' stuff or movement when the weather is too messy for the park, but overall it's a solid, healthy spot for the kids.
