  • Honestly, the health environment here has been stressful lately. Since they co-located North River with the charter school in the same building, everything feels super cramped and overcrowded. It’s definitely harder to keep the common areas clean with that many kids packed in, and I feel like whenever a bug starts going around, it just rips through the whole school because there's no personal space. Communication about illnesses is hit or miss, and I’m always worried about the ventilation in these older, shared CPS buildings. It just doesn't feel like the wellness of the kids is the priority when they're shuffling schools around like this.
