I honestly have mixed feelings about Ninos Heroes. On one hand, you hear about these big grants for family wellness centers, but then you look at the actual building and it's a different story. Lately, there’ve been major issues with the roof—parts of it literally blew off in the wind recently. It makes me really worried about leaks and mold getting into the classrooms while the kids are just trying to learn. The maintenance seems way behind, and for a school that’s supposed to focus on health, the physical environment feels kind of neglected. I haven't seen much improvement despite all the 'construction' talk in the board meetings.
