Honestly, Greene is a bit of a mixed bag. On one hand, the principal seems really committed to making wellness a priority, and they've been mentioned in some reports for trying to integrate health into the school day, which is great. But it's an older building in McKinley Park, and you definitely feel that. Sometimes the cleanliness in the common areas feels like it's lagging, and when something like the flu starts going around the classrooms, it seems to spread like wildfire. Communication from the office about health protocols is okay, but it doesn't always feel consistent. It's a decent neighborhood school, but I wouldn't say the health environment is anything spectacular—just your typical CPS experience where the staff is trying their best with limited resources.
