My kid has been at this Montessori for a bit now and it's a mixed bag health-wise. On one hand, the classrooms in the lower level usually look tidy, but being in a basement/lower level space definitely makes me worry about the ventilation, especially during flu season. There’s that typical 'old building' basement smell sometimes that isn't great for kids with allergies. Communicating about illnesses is okay, but I wish they were a little more proactive instead of just sending the standard 'someone in the class has a fever' email after the fact. It's a small school so things spread fast—if one kid gets a stomach bug, you can basically count on the whole class getting it. It’s an average setup; they follow the basic protocols but don't really go above and beyond for wellness.
