Matthew Gallistel Elementary Language Academy

Honestly, keeping my kid healthy at Gallistel has been a total uphill battle lately. The chronic absenteeism is really high—somewhere over 25%—and you can definitely feel it in the classrooms. It feels like there is always some bug going around because kids are coming in sick since the attendance numbers are so low and everyone's stressed about it. The school is also huge and it really feels like the staff-to-student ratio is stretched way too thin to handle basic wellness stuff. It's frustrating because the language programs are cool, but the environment feels chaotic. Communicating about illnesses or making sure the rooms are actually ventilated and clean feels like an afterthought compared to just trying to get kids in the door. I’m really worried about the burnout there; it doesn't feel like the healthiest place for a kid to spend 7 hours a day right now.
