To be honest, the health situation at Peterson has been pretty frustrating lately. The school has been struggling with high chronic absenteeism—last I checked, it was over 25%—and you can really feel that in the classrooms. It feels like there's always a bug going around and not enough is being done to get a handle on it. Plus, the student-to-teacher ratio is pretty high, so if your kid is feeling off or needs some extra attention from a wellness perspective, they kind of just get lost in the shuffle. They talk about wellness, but the attendance numbers tell a different story. I'm worried the staff is just too stretched thin to actually maintain a healthy environment for the kids.
