Lyman a Budlong Elementary School

Honestly, I have some real concerns about the environment at Budlong. I was looking through some district logs and saw they’ve been dealing with broken univents in the classrooms and needing to replace hoses and squeegees for the floor scrubbers—it makes you wonder how well the air is actually being filtered and if the floors are even getting cleaned properly. My kid mentions the rooms feeling stuffy and ‘old’ all the time. On top of that, the student-to-teacher ratio is pretty high, so it feels like the staff is just spread too thin to keep up with illness protocols or even just noticing when a kid isn't feeling 100%. It’s frustrating because it’s a neighborhood staple, but the upkeep and wellness side of things definitely feels like it’s lagging behind.
