Honestly, I’m pretty frustrated with the situation at Lawndale. While the teachers seem like they care, the building itself is a huge concern. It feels like every other week my kid is coming home with some kind of bug, and you can tell the ventilation just isn't there. Looking at the district's own records, there are always work orders for 'troubleshooting and repairs' which makes me feel like they are just patching up old issues instead of actually fixing the health and safety of the environment. The attendance is also pretty spotty, which usually tells you everything you need to know about how many kids are out sick at any given time. I really wish they'd focus more on the basic cleanliness and air quality instead of just getting by with temporary fixes.
