Ladybug on Irving Park is a bit of a mixed bag when it comes to the health environment. Honestly, the facility usually looks pretty clean when I drop off my daughter, and they seem to stay on top of the basic sanitizing. But my biggest gripe is the communication when a bug is going around the classroom. It feels like I only find out about a stomach flu or HFM after half the kids are already out sick. They have a decent sick-child policy on paper, but I’ve definitely seen some kiddos dropped off with pretty clear runny noses and coughs, which makes it hard to keep the rest of the group healthy. It’s an okay spot for the city, and the staff is nice, but I wish they were a bit more proactive about wellness and literal 'sick' days so we weren't constantly cycling through colds at home.
