  • To be honest, I’m pretty frustrated with the health situation at Lathrop lately. The chronic absenteeism is a massive red flag—it feels like half the class is out sick or just missing every other week, and it makes me wonder how well they’re actually cleaning the classrooms. My kid has come home with a cough more times than I can count this semester alone. Communication from the office about bugs or viruses going around is basically nonexistent, so you're always playing a guessing game. Plus, the student-to-teacher ratio is so high that I don't see how the staff can possibly keep an eye on kids who aren't feeling well. It feels like the school is just reactive instead of actually caring about a healthy environment.

  • Honestly, I’m pretty frustrated with the health situation at Lathrop lately. It feels like my kid is bringing home a new bug every other week, and the school doesn't seem to do much about it. Communication about when kids in the classroom are actually sick is super spotty, so you’re always playing catch-up. Plus, looking at the numbers, the chronic absenteeism is over 40%, which is honestly wild. How is anyone staying healthy or learning when half the class is out? It makes me wonder about the actual cleaning protocols in the building and if they’re even trying to keep things sanitized. It feels very under-resourced and like health just isn't the priority it should be.
