Honestly, it’s a bit of a mixed bag at Higher Learning. I do appreciate that they updated their cleaning policies recently—you can tell they’re trying harder to keep the germs down, especially in the common areas. Since they updated their protocols, I haven’t seen as many 'sick day' notices going around as I used to. The staff is clearly working hard, but since it's a busy South Shore center, it still feels a little cramped and chaotic sometimes. I wish they had more space for the kids to spread out because when one kid gets a sniffle, it still tends to make its way through the whole classroom pretty fast. It’s a solid local option, but you definitely have to stay on top of your own kid's hygiene routines.

Honestly, I’ve been pretty happy with how Higher Learning handles things on the health side. My little one hasn't caught half the stuff I expected them to, and the classrooms always look and smell clean when I drop off in the mornings. They are really on top of their sick policy—if a kid has a fever, they are calling home immediately, which can be a pain if it’s your kid, but it keeps the germs from spreading to everyone else. The South Shore location is convenient and they seem to really care about keeping the space sanitized. Communication about any local bugs going around is usually pretty quick too.
