My son goes to Henry’s House in North Center, and honestly, it's pretty middle-of-the-road. For a neighborhood daycare, it's clean enough, but I really wish the communication regarding illness was a bit more proactive. There have been a few times where a bug was going through the classroom and we didn't get a heads-up until half the kids were already out sick. The space itself is a bit tight since it's an urban setting, so when one kid gets a cold, everyone gets it. The staff is nice, but I find the sick policy a bit lax compared to other places we've been, which is a blessing and a curse. It's fine for basic care, but don't expect a high-level wellness program or anything fancy.

My toddler has been at Henry’s House for a few months now and I’ve been pretty happy with how they handle the usual daycare germs. The North Center location is super convenient, and the space always looks and smells clean when I do drop-offs. They are really strict about the 24-hour fever-free rule, which can be a pain when you have to call out of work, but honestly, it keeps the whole class from getting taken out at once. Communication is usually via quick updates at pickup; I do wish they’d send more immediate emails when a specific bug is going around the classroom, but overall, it feels like a healthy environment for the kids.
